How to make a Facebook Fundraiser for Donor Drive:

If you have already connected your Facebook account to Donor Drive skip from step 1 to step 4.

  1. Sign into your Donor Drive account

  2. Go to “Communication Settings” under account

  3. Push connect to Facebook to connect your Donor Drive account to your Facebook

  4. Go to your page settings and click “create a Facebook Fundraiser”

    3 ways to fundraise

  1. Post on Social Media

Each individual person involved in Miracle has a unique set of family, friends, and followers. The popularization of social media has transformed fundraising over the last several years, and we are able to reach more people than ever before. Social Media posts can be done on various different platforms, and we have provided templates that can be copied for easy use on all of your favorite social media outlets.

  2. Ask Family and Friends to Donate

Share with your friends and family what Dance Marathon is and why you are passionate about it. You can also write handwritten letters to family members or send emails to co- workers or colleagues. An email template is included with the fundraising resources provided.

  3. Sell Clothes, Babysit, Etc.

Get creative with your fundraising and sell clothes online or at second hand stores and donate the money to your donor drive. You can offer to babysit for family friends or neighbors and donate the money. You can also offer to drive your friends for a night out in return for a donation to your donor drive.

Hi, friends and family! This year, I’m excited to be involved in Miracle at Kennesaw State, the largest student-run philanthropy organization on campus! We raise money for our local Children’s Miracle Network hospital, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. This year, we will be funding childhood cancer research at the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Aflac Cancer & Blood Disorders Center. September is especially important and meaningful to us because it’s Childhood Cancer Awareness Month!

This year, our organization is “Going Gold” to support people in our community impacted by childhood cancer, and I would love you to join us! You can visit the link below to learn more and donate. Contributions of any amount are greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your support!

Dear (insert name),

Hello! I hope you’re doing well! This year, I am excited to be involved in Miracle at Kennesaw State, the largest student-run philanthropy organization on campus! We raise money for our

local Children’s Miracle Network hospital, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. This year, we will be funding childhood cancer research at the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Aflac Cancer & Blood Disorders Center. The Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center is recognized as one of the largest and most renowned childhood cancer centers in the U.S., annually caring for more than 7,400 pediatric patients from 43 different states. It is also ranked No. 8 in the nation for pediatric cancer care by 2019 U.S. News & World Report.

This month is is especially important and meaningful to us because September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month! With our funds benefiting childhood cancer research, our 2019-2020 year is centered around the theme called “Go Gold.” Gold is the color of the childhood cancer awareness ribbon, and we are asking our campus and our community to join us in “Going Gold” to support the families and children in our community who have been impacted by childhood cancer.

Will you join me in “Going Gold” to fight against pediatric cancer? I would love your help! You can visit the link below to learn more and donate. Contributions of any amount are greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your support!
