Here at Miracle at KSU, one of our biggest goals is to be able to spread awareness and knowledge on all the work we do. Our members stay actively involved within our community and our families with participating in different events, percentage days, and being able to support our families. Take a look at what we’ve been up to recently!
CMN IGNITE CONFERENCE
In July, two of our directors went to St. Louis, MO to the Ignite conference held by the Children’s Miracle Network. At the conference they attended different presentations about fundraising, marketing, Dance Marathon, and so much more!
DANCE MARATHON RETREAT
In August, our Executive Board had the opportunity to join other Miracle programs in Georgia at the Children’s Support Center and learn about all things Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. We also got to hear from the other programs about things they do to make their program and Dance Marathon and the year successful.
TSITP TEEN PARTY
We love a hospital party! Some of our executive board members attended a “The Summer I Turned Pretty” watch party and Teen Party at Arthur B. Bank Hospital. They got to interact with some of the patients while painting nails and doing some arts and crafts!
FAMILY SOFTBALL GAME
In September, we traveled to Covington, GA to support the Hopkins family, and Michala, at a softball game. We had so much fun being paired as a “buddy” with the players and help them play in the game!
PERCENTAGE DAYS
One of our favorite ways to support Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Miracle at KSU is through supporting another business with a percentage day! This semester, so far, we have gotten the opportunity to partner with Bruster’s Ice Cream and a local coffee shop here in Kennesaw, The Local Doe!
We love getting to support the businesses around us as well as supporting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta!
MORALE GETS MESSY X CAPE DAY
In October, the Internal Department hosted Morale Gets Messy! This was an opportunity for our Morale members to bond and get to know each other, while also being able to raise money and tell more people about Miracle at KSU. Students has the opportunity to pay to pie their friends in order to donate. Cape Day is a day to honor all of the kids that are treated at every Childrens’ facilities, and a reminder of the impact we have on all of the families fighting through these difficult times.
MIRACLE WEEK
In November, Miracle at KSU hosted Miracle Week! During this week, we hosted a few different events, including a volleyball tournament with different organizations around campus and a percentage day in which all proceeds went to fundraising for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. We also announced our year long campaign “Building a Brighter Future”. This campaign is a reminder of the impact of the everything we do as an organization with fundraising and raising awareness.
